Annual Meeting 2010 - Bijilo, The Gambia
This was the 10th annual gathering of Reflect practitioners in West Africa. Hosted by the Gambia's Network of Participatory Methodologies Practitioners (Pamoja The Gambia), it took place in Bijilo in the West Coast Region.
It was attended by 36 participants including 27 representatives from 11 National Pamojas (Benin, Burkina Faso, Ghana, The Gambia, Guinea Bissau, Guinea Conakry, Liberia, Mali, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone), including the 5 members of the Advisory Board. In addition there were two Reflect practitioners from Morocco, 3 participants from partner organisations (Action Aid Senegal, the Finnish Refugee Council and Boa Esperança of Guinea Bissau), two interpreters and two reporters.
The meeting enabled a review of sub regional activities during the year, sharing of country reports and planning for 2011. In addition to discussion of various administrative issues, a new Advisory Board was a;so elected

Advisory Board Meetings
During 2010 the Advisory Board met twice - once in Bamako and once in Bijilo, before the annual meeting. This enabled it to become more functional and start to overcome the challenges of having five members from different countries and speaking different languages.
The new board has a three year mandate and it was agreed that the Presidency will rotate between francophone and anglophone countries, with Guinea Bissau maintaining a permanent seat, as the only lusophone country.
